I love to tat, been doing it for a lot of years now, mostly self taught. I've done beading, I sew, knit and crochet too. I love to make and wear my own creations. I really enjoy when others like my creations and want to wear them too.
Got into the mood to crochet or knit with yarn. Started with doing some skull shawls, the one I did with the Pigeon yarn looked like they were made out of stone. I traded it for a leather leaf fan and a leather greenman mask for my other half.
Then I did some amigurmi dragons for my grandson's for Christmas and knitted them slippers as well. One set was a fortune cookie and the other was the purple minions. I got a hexagon hat done for me and a number of pairs of fingerless gloves. I use the gloves working the fair and at Screams. My hands get cold but wearing full gloves isn't an option as I'm working with money, the fingerless work better.
That time of year again. Will be at Screams Halloween Theme Park for 5 weekends starting with the coming one. My spiderweb ears were a big hit at orientation and I got a couple of orders. Working to finish them.
Saw some elf and fairy ears at fair. They were made from wire, beads, and crystals. I've used wire and beads before. Haven't ventured far from my thread & yarn crafts for awhile. I also got excited over some of the steam punk jewelry I saw as well. I love old watch gears and such.
I went online to see about ordering a pair of the ears, but money is getting tight and the price put me off. So finding a spool of silver wire I had on hand, beads I have a ton of. Couldn't find that old pocket watch I'd kept to use the gears for. So I ordered some parts on ebay.
Stayed up late last night as I've been dreaming for days since I got the parts every
